Cooking and Family
It is a beautiful Sunday morning. The sun is coming through the window, but the house is very quiet. Dad is already awake and busy in the kitchen. He is wearing his apron and making his famous pancakes. Mom is still sleeping in the bedroom. The children, Tom and Amy, wake up when they smell the delicious food cooking.
"I am so hungry!" says Tom as he jumps out of bed. He runs quickly to the kitchen.
"Good morning, everyone," says Dad with a smile. "Here are some hot pancakes for you."
The pancakes are golden, hot, and sweet. The children put sticky maple syrup and creamy butter on top of them. Mom wakes up and comes to the kitchen, yawning. Finally, everyone sits at the table and eats together. It is a very nice and relaxing Sunday morning.
