Present Perfect Continuous

Duration and Recent Activity

Sections
Introduction

Use Present Perfect Continuous (have/has been + ing) for:
• Actions that started in the past and are STILL continuing (emphasizing duration)
• Actions that have just stopped but have a visible present result (It has been raining - the ground is wet)

Difference from Present Perfect Simple:
• Simple: Focus on result/completion (I have painted the room - it's done)
• Continuous: Focus on the activity/duration (I have been painting the room - paint on clothes/maybe not done)
