Understand the difference between "Will" and "Going to":
Will:
ā¢ Instant decisions (I'll help you!)
ā¢ Predictions based on opinion (I think it will rain)
ā¢ Promises, offers, threats
ā¢ Future Facts: (The sun will rise at 6 AM)
Going To:
ā¢ Plans decided BEFORE speaking (I'm going to visit my mom)
ā¢ Predictions based on physical EVIDENCE (Look at those clouds! It's going to rain)
Present Continuous for Future:
ā¢ Fixed arrangements (I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow - implies a time/place set)
Simple Present for Future:
ā¢ Scheduled events (The train leaves at 9 PM - timetables/official schedules)
